As I was walking home from the gym today I noticed this tree in the window at Duane Reade:
The first Christmas tree sighting of the season! Fully decorated and lit, I mean. They are not selling trees on the streets yet; that probably will not happen until after Thanksgiving. I love it when they bring the trees out - the scent of fresh pine needles fills the air!
Also - the tree has been put up at Lincoln Center and will have an official lighting ceremony next week - just in time for the New York City Ballet's opening night of The Nutcracker on Friday, November 23 at 8pm!
